Malcolm wishes he had back the time he spent watching
the movie. He even seeks intelligence in his film. Intelligence or
explosions. Intelligence and subtle humor <sigh> not to mention
the way he sits at this station!
We don't get to see Malcolm's reaction to Archer
inviting strange aliens on board. Surely he wishes to protest, when
he stops rolling his eyes. No don't involve Security! The head
alien dude gives Archer a clock. Malcolm would suspect it was a bomb!
That or a 22nd Century rubix cube. T'Pol, however, is on guard and
apprehensive of the aliens.

So, who gets to meet the aliens next? Hoshi! Reed
quickly asks her what the aliens were like, and Hoshi tells him they didn't
look like the type to steal secrets. Mal still fears Archer will
send the tour to the Armoury, but he is right! Right but bored out
of his mind at the thought of 'friendly' aliens. Always thinking
of protocol, unlike some! Malcolm tells Mayweather he has the bridge, even
though he'll only be fixing the sensor for a moment. How T'Pol of
him! Malcolm also enjoys making Travis stew, but he would not find
it so humorus that Trip is showing the aliens engine skematics!
T'Pol seems more relaxed on the bridge, and depsite
his plain view of her ass, Malcolm keeps his head down, firmly buried in
his sensors. But, he can't help himself, and slowly looks up and
takes it all in. Yeah, baby, yeah! DK really gets into the shaking
when the ship hits some turbulence. Shaken, not stirred. Malcolm
seems pissed at the damage. All for alien visits and science!

Speaking of science. Ms. Pol doesn't seem so
eager to spend the night with the aliens, unlike Phlox. I guess she
is more interested on collecting data on Enterprise. Data of the Reed kind
80) However, I just can't help but wonder...what if Malcolm
had to have a bunkmate that majored in chaos theory?!
Stupid Daniels. Malcolm would have him in
irons already! Oh wait, he still hasn't been informed about all this yet!
No, The words war and armory officer don't go together, not
at all! T'Pol meanwhile argues time travel with Trip and Archer.
If time travel is supposed to be illogical, then why do Vulcans study it
so much? T'Pol is skeptical of Daniels, to put it mildly. No,
don't tell Malcolm, please I insist! He must never know...

Even Porthos finds out before Reed, and Archer even
ignores his dog! Even Phlox can tell. Obvious much, are we,
Jon? T'Pol tells Trip its one thing to be open minded versus believing
something because you want it to be true. Malcolm, does want you,
T'Pol, it's true. Man, even fricking Daniels tells them to contact
Reed, complete with security team playset. I guess Mr. Reed's reputation
preceeds him! But do they inform him they are altering internal sensors?
No!
Malcolm is informed of the Suliban onboard too late,
of course. Ladies and gentleman, if you have a hostile alien onboard,
do not inform the police last! I suspect Malcolm would admire
Silik's evasiveness, if only he were on our side! Malcolm, however,
is not interested in the Plume. (Nor is T'Pol!) You think he'd be
up for a natural explosion. Malcolm's eyes must be sore at the rolling
they've been doing this episode. Pissy Zoolander look number 41675
when Archer finally tells him. Did you hear how snippy his response
was? 'Understood!'

Trip also has a fixation. Malcolm wants
to plant flags and all Trip talks about this episode is heads and tails
and legs up. Go fig. He gives Archer Daniel's morphing through
walls thing. Again, don't tell Malcolm what the mysterious technology
is. Reed says 'Sir?' as in 'Is there anything else you might
want to tell me, Sir?'
T'Pol wants to pursue when Archer let's Silik get
away, but The Captain says no and orders Malcolm to reasign Chaos Boy and
seal Daniel's quarters. Malcolm blinks like 'Put me on Laundry duty,
too why don't you?!' and quickly leaves. Reed practically raises
his eyebrow at the prospect of Daniel's quarters. The wealth of
information being withheld is just...illogical!
