Ah yes. More Polly
and The Reedygoodness from the beginning! Poor Sluggo. I bet
Malcolm thinks the worm is a threat! T'Pol of course, would agree bringing
it on the ship was illogical. T'Pol is trying very much not
to laugh at Archer and his squeak, and she can't resist a comment when
she leaves him.
Malcolm meanwhile is all hot and bothered about
the torepodes. Out of the gutter people! Heaven forbid the
weapons are off by .02%! Reed doesn't care if he disables or
destroys a ship, just that Enterprise may get damaged in the process.
What is this boy's fixation with equipment being more important than people?
And what exactly was he off doing before Enterprise loonched that this
stuff isn't done? He just hasn't met the right Vulcan yet.

Reed Rule #1-assume every alien is hostile!
He tells Archer it's not going well. My boy speaks well as well 80) And
he says thank you <sigh> Poor Malcolm! Archer stops to find
him something to blow up, and the torpedo misses! I think Mally was
trying to scare everyone with the second one. See what happens when
we're unprepared people! Archer says they can't sit around for him
to fix it, and Reed just blinks at him like the Captain's an idiot.
Speaking of which 8-D. Watch Malcolm why Archer
is talking to the Comm air. With Arms crossed! Reed keeps looking up at
Trip like 'Can you believe this guy?' T'Pol, of course, is examining
the ship and claims it has 'High yield particale impact' Of course,
us in the know are aware that means weapons. She just couldn't say
what was really on her mind.
T'Pol, just like Reed, has no interesting exploring
this ship, and Polly really protests when Archer tells Malcolm to prep
a shuttlepod. Reed appears to nod at T'Pol, assuring her he will
be alright.
Who thinks Malcolm really watches science fiction
movies? Me niether. I love the Phase Rifles, but Archer makes him
put them back. Reed Rule #2-'You can't be too careful, sir.'
note-RR#2 always followed by 'Captain is an idiot' look.

'Just our luck!' Reed says about the locked
hatch. Yeah right. He even tells Archer where he wants to put the
charges to blow it up. Haha, Archer found the lock. 'Sorry, Malcolm!'
Reed hangs his head. No rifles, no explosion, idiot Captain! ;0)
Sure I pick on Archer, but Mal isn't above
male idiotcy. The banter with Hoshi about the ladder is great.
And note to R/S shippers; When Hoshi is all screaming, does Malcolm help
her? No. 80p He's more concerned about the stupid bloodsucking
pumps. Reed doesn't seem too upset, but when they get back he tells
T'Pol it was 15 bodies, correcting Archer's guess of 12. Did
anyone notice the filming of the scene in the changing room? Malcom is
on the bench. Out of the conversation but still in the shot between
Archer and T'Pol. DK, or course, uses this Reed time wisely.
He checks T'Pol out, then gets undressed. >8o)

T'Pol naturally is unaffected by the whole dead body
thing. For a Vulcan she is very opinionated. She tells Archer
she has a code of behavior and tries to stick to it! Ahem, and what
is making that so difficult for her I wonder? Boo all you naysayers,
Look who T'Pol is standing next to in the Situation Room! 80p
Reed wants to take a security team back to
the dead ship. Um, their dead Malcolm. You gotta love dialogue between
Reed and T'Pol. Its supposed to be all business, but we know it isn't
T'Pol: Bridge to Armory.
Reed: Armory.
Could they be anymore formal? That's borderline
on hiding something. At least Malcolm admits there is nothing he
can do in 10 mintues, despite T'Pol's adamite 'Are you able to defend this
ship?!'
Reed: Look, if you want me to hit the broad side of a stationary
dairy barn I could accomodate you.
Who else thinks he's lactose intolerant?
T'Pol: Do the best you can but I need you on the Bridge in 5 minutes!
Okay, why does she need him on the Bridge? There's
that old dude that fills in at Tactical. For the record, Malcolm
gets there in 2, with his forward tubes loaded and ready! 80)

Reed gets to fire two shots at the bad aliens,
but both are ineffective. Archer glares at Malcolm. Reed is
like 'If you let me align them when I asked! Bloody idiot!' Malcolm
gets further annoyed at the idea of being 'probed'. He leaps from
his chair at the order to let out the armed guard. However, something beeps
and Mal rushes back to his station. That boy knows his sensors!
Malcolm doesn't seem to interested in Hoshi's linguistic
display; he keeps his head down. 80p I love when DK gets into the
ship shaking! Shaken, not stirred! Reed asks permission to fire and
is so happy when he gets a hit. He would have been happier if Hoshi
would have given him sluggo for Target Practice!
